Special steel
Special steel punches
In hot stamps, which are used for metalworking at high temperatures, the use of special steel is common to ensure strength, durability, and optimal performance during the stamping process.
The special types of steel used in hot stamping are designed to withstand the extreme thermal and mechanical stress to which they are subjected during high temperature stamping. These steels are often bonded with elements such as chromium, molybdenum, vanadium and others to improve their mechanical and thermal properties.
Special steel for hot stamps must present a combination of hardness, toughness, and wear resistance to withstand the aggressive environment of the stamping process. In addition, they must maintain dimensional stability to ensure reproducibility and accuracy of the printed parts.
Hot stamps made from special types of steel can be designed to withstand extreme loads, resist abrasion due to contact with molten metal, and maintain complex and detailed shapes over long periods of use.
